  • ARMY JROTC MISSION STATEMENT

  • "TO MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE BETTER CITIZENS"

  • South Atlanta Hornets' JROTC Goals:

  •  The JROTC program was established in 1966. Since then, we have encouraged cadets to have better patcipation, discipline, and to show respect and giving back to the community. Many cadets feel as if they can go far by being apart of the JROTC program and that it is vital to helping them accomplish their goals. Hornets' Battalion has participated in countless parades, holiday functions, and drill competitions. One important event concerns the Empty Stocking Fund. Cadets are responsible for going out in a designated area and raising money for families in need in the time of the holiday. Moreover, the JROTC  Department has taught cadets that it is better to give than to receive, also the importance of respect when dealing with adults and officials. Not only does JROTC teach the importance of dealing with others, but we also promote physical fitness with ones' self and how exercising and eating right are crucial in living a healthy life.
